About Us

Camp Journey NW is a camp providing a community of hope for children and their families touched by cancer. Dealing with childhood cancer can sometimes make “just being a kid” seem out of reach. At Camp Journey NW, our goal is to change that perception and reality. In this nurturing, medically supervised home-away-from-home, young cancer survivors can leave their worries behind for one magical week and immerse themselves in a fun-filled outdoor camp experience tailored expressly to their needs. Meanwhile, their families and caregivers can rest easy, knowing that trained oncology staff is on-site 24/7.

Day Camp Monday, July 25 –Thursday, July 28, 2022 (9:15–4:00 pm each day)
On-site Registration: Monday,July 25, 8:45 am
This camp is designed for 5- to 7-year-old cancer patients and survivors. These campers do not bring a sibling or friend along to camp. Parents are invited to attend on Monday from 8:45–11:30 am. Lodging may be available for families traveling from outside the area (approximately 2 hours away or more). Please call to request lodging.

Resident Camp Sunday, July 24 -Saturday, July 30, 2022
On-site Registration: Sunday, July 24 - 3:30 pm
This camp is designed for 7- to 17-year-old cancer patients and survivors. Campers are invited to bring along one sibling, or a friend of similar age, to share in the camp experience. Airline transportation may be available for campers traveling from outside the area. Please call to request airline transportation.

Leader-in-Training Sunday, July 24 -Saturday, July 30, 2022
On-site Registration: Sunday, July 24 - 3:30 pm
This program is designed for 16- and 17-year-old cancer patients and survivors who are looking for outstanding leadership training, are interested in developing new skills, and want a chance to see what being a leader is all about. LITs share their talents and enthusiasm with younger campers and create new friendships or rekindle old ones. LITs are invited to bring along one sibling, or a friend of similar age, to share in the camp experience. (Note: If a sibling is not 16 or 17, he or she can participate in the resident camp.) Airline transportation may be available for LITs traveling from outside the area. Please call to request airline transportation.

Family Weekend - Sept. 10 (start at 10AM) & Sept. 11 (until 3PM)
A weekend to relax as a family with all your activities planned for you. This is going to be the chance for our campers to give their families a taste of camp life with them. Let Camp Journey NW give you a fun-filled weekend as a family, before the weather changes in the northwest! Lodging and meals included, just bring your bedding and toiletries, we will do the rest!

Camper Registration:

Registration opens on February 1st, 2022. The application deadline is May 20, 2022. Please call for availability after this date.

Volunteer Staff Registration:

Registration opens on February 1st, 2022. Volunteers are recruited, carefully screened, and attend special training specific to this camp. Ensuring the safety and health of the campers is our top priority. The volunteer registration deadline is April 29, 2022. The medical staff registration deadline is July 1, 2022.

You can help spread the love by sending a child affected by childhood cancer to Camp Journey NW. $1320 Pays for a full week at Camp Journey NW. Pay the full $1320 all at once or opt for 12 monthly payments of just $110. A group effort can also help support our campers. Talk to your office, sororities, book clubs, church groups, extended family, teachers, community organizations, and circle of friends about making a difference in a child’s life.

Ross Point

We are lucky to have Ross Point generously share their campgrounds with us to host Camp Journey NW every year. Located in Post Falls right on the river, Ross Point is continually being developed to meet the needs of the numerous and varied groups who come to their site. Whether it’s for a day or a week, Ross Point can accommodate groups of 2 to 200 in a variety of lodging options and multiple meeting and gathering spaces.
