Camp Information
Who can attend Camp Journey NW?
Camp Journey NW serves children ages 5–17 who have been impacted by pediatric cancer. Resident Camp is available for ages 7–17, while Day Camp is designed for younger campers. Eligible Resident Camp campers may also bring one sibling or close friend to camp.
Is Camp Journey NW really free?
Yes. Camp Journey NW is completely free for eligible campers and their families thanks to the generosity of donors, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners.
Where is camp held?
Camp Journey NW is hosted at Ross Point Camp & Conference Center in Post Falls, Idaho, where campers enjoy a traditional outdoor camp experience in a medically supervised environment.
Can campers attend more than once?
Yes. Many campers return year after year and continue building friendships and camp traditions.
Is medical staff available during camp?
Absolutely. Pediatric oncology doctors, nurses, and trained medical professionals are onsite 24 hours a day throughout camp.
Can my child attend while receiving treatment?
Many children currently receiving treatment are able to attend. Every camper's medical information is reviewed individually to ensure camp is a safe experience.
How are medications handled?
All medications are managed by the camp's medical staff according to each camper's individual medical plan.

Who can volunteer?
Camp Journey NW welcomes caring adults who want to help create a safe, encouraging, and fun camp experience. Volunteers complete an application, screening process, and training before camp.

Volunteer opportunities include cabin leadership, activity support, medical staff, event volunteers, and other behind-the-scenes roles.
How are donations used?
Donations help provide medical care, meals, camp activities, supplies, lodging, volunteer training, and other resources that allow camp to remain free for families.
